Ummmm....Not quite 100 SnGs again

Only 38 SnGs since my last post (4 wins, 14itm, 22% ROI). Keep getting sidetracked by other things & playing other 18, 45, 90 man SnGs or Mtts. But tomorrow I'm gonna start my race to 100 SnGs in a week. No really I am. My only goal besides getting to 100 SnGs in a week will be to increase my current numbers in cashes (45%), wins (13%) & ROI (24%).

Current Sit N Go Numbers:
164 Sit N Go's
74 Cashes (45%)
22 Wins (13%)
Buy In's: $658.10

Ummm... not quite a 100 SnGs

Didn't meet my goal of 100 SnGs for the week. Only 51 total. And thats counting a few extra days before & after the goal should have been achieved. Still trying to get my bankroll at sufficent levels on PS & FTP so I can take things full steam. Made a final table in one of the added money Mtts PS was running to celebrate 10 billion hands so my roll there is not to bad now. FTP roll still needs work & I've been doing SnG heebs on there to try to get my roll up. Will try again to run 100 SnGs this week.

Current Sit N Go Numbers:
126 Sit N Go's
60 Cashes (47%)
18 Wins (14%)

100 Sit N Go's this week

Haven't been playing to many SnG's. To celebrate 10 billion hands Poker Stars has been having several Mtt's with added cash. So between those & playing some 18 & 45 man SnG's haven't been playing many 9 man SnG's. Think I'm gonna try & run 100 this week.

Building My Bankroll

Gaining some steam now. In the last few days racked up 27 SnG's, 11 Cashes, 5 Wins. My bankroll is now sufficient to jump up to $11 SnG's although I'll probably try to pad my roll a little more before I venture up a level just so I won't tilt as much when I bubble the first 4 SnG's at $11 (trust me its happened way too many times already). Plus I'm still trying to build up my roll on PokerStars & Full Tilt Poker so I feel its not real good bankroll management to play $11 SnG's on those sites til I got a few more dollars on there playing at smaller stakes.

Current Sit N Go Numbers:
75 Sit N Go's
37 Cashes (49%)
12 Wins (16%)
Buy In's: $355.20
Winnings: $468.80
Profit: $113.60
ROI (31%)
Bankroll: $223.60

Quick Update

I haven't been playing alot of Sit N Go's the last couple days. I've been spending alot of time playing MTT's & watching the action at Full Tilt with the FTOPS series which started yesterday. Went deep in most of the MTT's ($1-$5 buy ins), but got KO'd on the bubble way too many times. I'm sure I'm close to tilting because of this. Okay as for the SnG's I played 16 with 9 cashes & 3 wins for a 24% ROI. Starting to get close to the $220 bankroll needed for me to jump up to $11 SnG's. I have yet to be successful at this level so I'm looking forward to the challenge & hopefully this time I will do better than break even.

Current Sit N Go Numbers:
48 Sit N Go's
26 Cashes (54%)
7 Wins (14%)
Buy In's: $262.40
Winnings: $344.70
Profit: $82.30
ROI (31%)
Bankroll: $192.30

Overplaying Hands & Back to Reality

Ouch. Yesterday stung after having such a good day previously. When ever I have a good day I tend to think I'm unbeatable or something & reality creeps up on in me in the form of running into higher overpairs to the board & losing races & chasers hitting their hands. Gotta admit my play was at fault alot at times too, but nothing seemed to be going my way in the other hands either. Wasn't feeling very good & haven't felt very good today so haven't played any games as of yet & maybe won't. Not really sure yet. Stats from yesterday 10 Sit N Go's, 3 cashes, no wins.

Current Sit N Go Numbers:
32 Sit N Go's
17 Cashes (53%)
4 Wins (12%)
Buy In's: $162
Winnings: $219.60
Profit: $57.60
ROI (35%)
Bankroll: $167.60

Diego "Chico" Corrales (1977-2007)

Woke up this morning to some rather shocking news. My favorite boxer had died in a motorcycle accident. Anyone that follows boxing knows that Corrales was one of the bravest, most determined boxers in the sport today. He was in one of the greatest fights of all time vs Jose Luis Castillo exactly 2 years ago to the day. He will be greatly missed.

Mayweather Wins

Didn't play much poker since my last post. Only 8 NL Hold em Sit N Go's, half at $5.50, half at lower buy ins. 4 cashes, no wins. Usually I play mostly other games (PL Omaha, Horse, Razz) on sunday's & monday's so I don't get burned out on Hold em so my level of activity is probably normal minus not playing at all on saturday. Only NL Hold em results will be added to my current results. I might start posting my results at other games at some time in the future. I think playing games other than Hold em helps improve my card sense & will help me in the long run in Hold em, but also give me a broader view of the mechanics of all games in much quicker order than just playing one game.

Floyd Mayweather won a close split decision over Oscar De La Hoya over the weekend. I had this fight extremely close on my scorecard late in the fight. After 4 rounds I had it even. After 8 rounds I had it even. Then as usually Oscar ran out of gas & Floyd took over and won 3 of the last 4 rounds. Floyd wins a title in his fifth weight division, stays undefeated at 38-0 & claims to be retired, but I highly doubt he doesn't fight again. I can see no way Floyd doesn't either a) fight Oscar again, b) fights "Sugar" Shane Mosley or c) fight Miguel Cotto (if he beats Zab Judah on June 9). Too much money for Floyd to make right now at what he does best for him to not take advantage of it.

Oh yeah watched the poker movie Lucky You over weekend too. It wasn't as bad as I had previously heard & while I wouldn't give it a thumbs up for movie fans I would give it a thumbs up for poker players. Lots of cameos of famous players & much more honest to the game than other poker movies I have seen recently. It doesn't surpass Rounders on my list of best poker movies in recent years due to a unbelievable romance between Eric Bana & Drew Barrymore. Robert Duvall steals most of the scenes he's in & was under used in this production IMO.

Current Sit N Go Numbers:
22 Sit N Go's
14 Cashes (63%)
4 Wins (18%)
Buy In's: $109.60
Winnings: $196.10
Profit: $86.50
ROI (78%)
Bankroll: $196.50

One of My Best Days Ever

Maybe it was a good idea to start this blog. Just had one of my best days ever playing sit n go's. Played 14, cashed in 10, won 4! Beautiful. Now if I can just do that every day this will be so much more easier than I thought. Kind of changed my original rules that I made in my first post & started with a $110 bankroll & $5.50 sit n go's. I'm a winning player at $5.50 so thought going down to $1.20 sit n go's would just prolong this journey at a level I feel I've conquered already. Not sure how much I'll play this weekend. Getting prepared to watch the big fight between Floyd Mayweather & Oscar De La Hoya. My prediction, Mayweather by decision.

14 Sit N Go's

4 Wins (28%)
